About the role

We are seeking an experienced Purchaser to join our dynamic team at Asas Jati Enterprise. As our Purchaser, you will play a crucial role in supporting our construction projects in Jitra, Kedah. This is a full-time position that will require you to source and procure materials, negotiate contracts, and manage relationships with suppliers.

What you'll be doing

Identifying and evaluating potential suppliers to ensure the best value and quality

Negotiating contracts and procurement agreements with suppliers

Placing orders, monitoring deliveries, and resolving any issues that arise

Maintaining accurate records of purchases and expenditures

Collaborating with project managers to forecast material requirements and ensure timely delivery

Researching new products and technologies to identify cost-saving opportunities

Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably in the construction industry

Strong negotiation and contract management skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders

Proficient in data analysis and reporting to optimise purchasing processes

Proven track record of cost-saving initiatives and project support

Familiarity with construction materials, equipment, and industry standards

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
