An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Purchasing Officer to manage the procurement process effectively. Job description

Responsibilities:

1. Handle incoming goods including raw materials and local trading products.
2. Follow-up on delivery status against Purchase Orders issued.
3. Ensure ISO implementation for ongoing work and purchasing job functions.
4. Evaluate supplier performance quarterly.
5. Issue Purchase Orders.
6. Issue goods return notes to the supplier when there are goods to be returned.
7. Sourcing of new suppliers when necessary for price comparison.
8. Additional responsibilities as required by management.

Authority:

1. Issuing Purchase Orders.
2. Follow-up on miscellaneous Delivery Orders.

Qualifications:

1. Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree or Diploma in Purchasing or equivalent.
2. Able to communicate in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin (Mandatory).
3. Candidates must have a Purchasing background; material planning is an added advantage.
4. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years' experience in Purchasing.
5. Candidates must have good analysis and communication skills.
6. Familiarity with ERP systems is required.
7. Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Power.
