Salary Range: Basic RM3000 - RM6000 (depending on experience) + Commission

Gross Salary: Up to RM12k

Summary

The Public Relations Manager is responsible for managing the organization's communication initiatives, specifically with media personnel. Responsibilities include overseeing a team of PR professionals, writing or editing press releases, and organizing press conferences and events. Developing marketing strategies aligned with the organization's goals is also essential.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Public Relations

• Develop and execute PR communication strategies to increase brand awareness.
• Formulate a strategic communication framework aligned with global strategies.
• Collaborate on creative PR campaigns, including ESG/CSR initiatives.
• Identify media opportunities, organize events, and establish partnerships to enhance brand visibility.
• Create compelling content and stories for media pitching.
• Ensure timely execution of communication plans within budget.

Crisis/Risk Management

• Identify and mitigate PR risks.
• Manage crisis situations and review public content for risk minimization.

Media Relations

• Maintain relationships with local and global media to fulfill PR goals.

Others

• Monitor competitors and recommend strategic actions.
• Build and sustain strategic partnerships to expand market presence.

Job Requirements:

1. Minimum 5 years of experience in Public Relations, Communications, or Journalism; experience in SEA markets is advantageous.
2. Proven success in securing global media coverage and executing campaigns.
3. Strong media contacts locally and internationally.
4. Experience managing PR activities in the local market.
5. Excellent communication skills in English and local languages, including writing and editing.
6. Understanding of international media platforms; international experience is a plus.
7. Creative and strategic thinking; social media marketing experience is desirable.
