A leading company in Malaysia is seeking an accounting professional to manage the PTP process, including vendor invoices, training team members, and participating in improvement projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong IT literacy, solid understanding of financial procedures, and effective communication skills. * General accounting activities in the process area of responsibility (PTP Travel & Expense).
* Serve as the daily go-to person for system or master data related questions within the area(s) of responsibility (Travel & Expense).
* Deliver services to GBS customers according to SLAs by performing accounting tasks outlined in the processes and procedures for GBS and the PtP process area.
* Coordinate tests such as SIT (System Integration Testing) and UAT (User Acceptance Testing), and provide feedback.
* Stay updated with the development of relevant tools, e.g., SAP, SAP Concur.
* Support team members with application and master data related matters, promoting standard practices.
* Drive the closure of open tickets and issues, escalate or suggest potential changes to the Team Lead or Global Process Developer (GPD).
* Train and upskill new and existing team members in system or master data tasks.
* Collaborate with the Master Data Governance organization.
* Act as a bridge between business and IT, supporting the GPD in setting business requirements for finance and business operations.
* Scan, verify, process, and register vendor invoices (PO and non-PO).
* Manage expense claims, including validation and approval.
* Collaborate with local sites/GBS customers to resolve discrepancies and queries as per SLA.
* Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing and reporting, including accruals, reconciliations, and asset handling.
* Handle documentation and archiving tasks.
* Participate in improvement and development projects related to the PtP process.
* Propose continuous improvements to the PtP process.
* Support and train non-GBS MHC organization on PtP processes when needed.
* Assist other GBS process teams with various tasks as required.
Profile
* Solid understanding of IT platforms in the process area, e.g., SAP, SAP Concur, with familiarity with system/IT terminology.
* Good knowledge of financial procedures, compliance, risk, and internal controls in the process area (Travel & Expense).
* Strong process understanding of master data and its application in end-to-end flows.
* Relevant hands-on experience with systems like SAP Concur.
* At least 3 years of relevant experience with these systems.
* Proven ability to handle training and documentation tasks.
* High IT literacy, including proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, SAP, etc.
* Good communication and pedagogic skills.
* Eager to learn and supportive of team operations.
* Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
* Integrity, patience, and consistency.
* Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
* Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
