Job description

Plan and deliver high-quality lessons based on the Cambridge IGCSE Psychology curriculum.

Teach key topics such as cognitive development, biological psychology, learning, abnormality, and research methods.

Design schemes of work, lesson plans, classroom activities, and assessments.

Prepare students thoroughly for IGCSE examinations, including both theory and application-based questions.

Use a variety of instructional strategies to support diverse learning needs and abilities.

Maintain accurate records of student progress, assessment, and attendance.

Provide regular feedback to students and communicate with parents on academic progress.

Encourage critical thinking, curiosity, and ethical awareness in psychological contexts.

Stay up to date with curriculum changes, exam board expectations, and relevant psychological research.

Participate in school events, parent-teacher meetings, and professional development sessions.

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or a closely related field (Master’s preferred).

Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).

Minimum 2 years of experience teaching Psychology, preferably at the IGCSE level.

Familiarity with Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) curriculum.
