Key Responsibilities:
As a Graduate Trainee in the
Strategic Vendor Management (SVM) team, you will assist in driving initiatives that optimize value from vendors, reduce operational risk, and enhance service delivery. The role offers hands-on experience in vendor governance and exposure to cross-functional collaboration within a procurement landscape.
Support SRM Strategy Implementation
Assist in executing the organization’s Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) strategy that aligns with broader business priorities and risk segmentation.
Vendor Segmentation & Analysis
Help perform vendor segmentation analysis to distinguish between strategic and non-strategic vendors using a structured framework.
Vendor Relationship Management
Support coordination of relationship activities with key vendors as outlined in the vendor management plan.
Vendor Performance Monitoring
Track and report vendor performance using KPIs and financial metrics. Assist in conducting audits and contribute to intervention planning for underperforming vendors.
Vendor Engagement Initiatives
Help manage and organize vendor participation in engagement programs, and support monitoring and reporting of outcomes to enhance future programs.
Process Improvement & Optimisation
Assist in reviewing SVM processes regularly to identify gaps, propose improvements, and implement changes to increase efficiency.
Compliance & Risk Management
Aid in maintaining up-to-date risk assessments, documentation, and compliance records aligned with company and regulatory requirements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Support internal teams during key procurement and vendor-related events, workshops, or meetings as directed by your supervisor.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Minimum CGPA 3.0 or equivalent.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated interest in procurement, vendor management, or strategic sourcing.
