Objectives of the Position

Provide strategic support to the Global Trade Compliance Service Delivery Unit (SDU) head and leadership team in areas such as PMO, global alignment, coordination, communications, and reporting.

Main Areas of Responsibilities and Key Activities

This role reports to the Global Head of Trade Compliance and offers exposure to all aspects of BASF Trade Compliance across Europe, the Americas, and Asia Pacific.

Project Management Office (PMO)

• Coordinate and manage cross-regional projects and initiatives.
• Evaluate and prioritize activities to ensure harmonization across sites and regions.
• Create and maintain project tracking frameworks, and prepare and present status updates to stakeholders and steering committees.
• Drive project milestones and closure.

Global Unit Coordination

• Liaise with global, regional, and local teams for alignment.
• Handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Manage collaborative platforms and tools for efficient information sharing.
• Coordinate KPI development, measurement, and reporting.
• Develop and implement communication strategies.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and communications at the global level.
• Lead special projects and initiatives as needed.
• Identify opportunities for digitalization, automation, and process streamlining, justifying local customizations.
• Assist in budget planning and financial management.

Job Requirements

Education

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university. Degrees in Business, Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, or Engineering are preferred.

Work Experience

Minimum of 3 years in relevant fields such as supply chain, project management, or business operations.

Technical & Professional Knowledge

• Business fluent in English; German, Chinese, or Spanish skills are a plus.
• High digital literacy and proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications.
• Structured and critical thinking skills.
• Proactive and growth-oriented mindset.
