Qualifications

Overview

We are a trusted poultry farming company in Malaysia, committed to quality, sustainability, and the growth of our people. We are seeking skilled and reliable Farm Maintenance Technician in Poultry Operations to support the smooth operation of our poultry farming facilities. This role involves hands-on maintenance of electrical and mechanical systems, ensuring power backup readiness, supporting equipment installation for new farms, and executing infrastructure-related projects. The ideal candidate will be proactive, technically competent, and committed to minimizing operational downtime. Two positions available.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Maintenance Support: Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to electrical and mechanical systems across the farm. Be available to respond to emergency breakdowns during and after working hours.
  • Power Supply Continuity: Operate and maintain standby generator systems to ensure consistent power supply during utility outages, avoiding interruptions to farm operations.
  • Routine Equipment Servicing: Carry out scheduled inspections, servicing, and basic repairs of farm machinery, equipment, and systems to improve reliability and lifespan.
  • Monitoring and Upkeep: Regularly assess the performance of all farm utilities and equipment, taking preventive measures to maintain efficient operation.
  • Maintenance Record-keeping: Assist in keeping accurate and up-to-date records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs for tracking and compliance purposes.
  • Safety & Compliance Monitoring: Ensure all maintenance work and equipment installations comply with workplace safety standards, operational guidelines, and relevant regulations.
  • Coordination of New Farm Equipment Installation: Assist with the installation, setup, and commissioning of equipment and systems for new poultry farms. Ensure installations are completed according to technical specifications and safety standards.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and recommend improvements to maintenance procedures and farm infrastructure to enhance overall productivity and reduce downtime.
  • Project Execution: Support farm renovation or infrastructure upgrade projects by executing assigned tasks, ensuring timely and quality completion under the supervision of the project manager.
  • General Responsibilities: Perform any other tasks or assignments as directed by management, based on operational requirements.
Requirements
  • Diploma or Certificate in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Hands-on experience in equipment maintenance, preferably within poultry or agricultural operations.
  • Good understanding of 3 phase electrical system, generator systems, motor control, water pump, basic wiring, and mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and respond effectively to emergencies.
  • A team player with good communication and coordination abilities.
  • Physically fit and comfortable working in farm environments
  • Capable of reading technical drawings, manuals, and equipment specifications (added advantage).
  • Prior experience in livestock or poultry facility maintenance is an added advantage.
