Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and result-driven Project Sales Representative based in Malaysia to lead and expand Armatura’s project-based business in the country. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of access control, physical security, and ELV system integration projects, with a focus on biometric and AI-driven solutions. This role will be instrumental in capitalizing on the growing demand for advanced security systems in Malaysia’s rapidly urbanizing landscape, particularly in data centers, government, and enterprise sectors. With Malaysia’s government prioritizing national security and digital transformation, there is a significant opportunity to deploy Armatura’s certified solutions, including BS EN60839 Grade 4 systems, to meet these evolving needs.
Key Responsibilities
·Identify and secure major access control and security projects across government, enterprise, and data center sectors in Malaysia.
·Build and maintain relationships with system integrators, consultants, contractors, and project developers in Malaysia.
·Manage the entire project sales cycle, from specification and tender participation to order closing and handover, navigating Malaysia's procurement processes.
·Promote Armatura’s product portfolio, and other Grade 4-certified solutions, highlighting their suitability for Malaysia's security needs.
·Provide technical consultation and commercial support to clients, ensuring alignment with local regulations and standards.
·Collaborate with internal product, presales, and support teams to ensure successful project delivery and customer satisfaction.
·Represent Armatura at trade shows, conduct site visits, and participate in industry forums to enhance brand visibility in Malaysia.
Requirements
To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
·Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, Business, or a related field.
·Experience:
oMinimum 3 years of experience in project sales, preferably in access control, CCTV, ELV, or building automation systems.
oProven track record of successfully managing and closing large-scale security projects in government or enterprise sectors.
oExperience in biometric access control systems and AI-powered security solutions is highly desirable.
oExperience in Malaysia's security market is preferred.
·Technical Knowledge:
oIn-depth understanding of biometric technology, access control systems, and AI in security.
oFamiliarity with international security standards, such as BS EN60839 Grade 4, and their application in project specifications.
·Project Management:
oStrong project management skills, with the ability to handle complex sales cycles from inception to completion.
oExperience with tender processes and procurement in Malaysia's government or enterprise sectors.
·Market Understanding:
oDeep knowledge of the Malaysian security market, including key players, trends, and regulatory environments.
oAwareness of the growing demand for physical security solutions in data centers, government, and enterprise sectors.
·Networking and Relationships:
oExtensive network in Malaysia’s construction, security, and government sectors.
oProven ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with system integrators, consultants, and project developers.
·Language Skills:
oFluent in English (spoken and written).
oProficiency in Bahasa Malaysia is advantageous.
·Certifications (Preferred):
oCertifications in project management (e.g., PMP) or sales.
oFamiliarity with security system certifications, such as those from ASIS International or similar bodies.
·Soft Skills:
oExcellent presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
oSelf-driven with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
oStrong communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
·Additional Qualities:
oWillingness to travel locally and regionally as needed.
oCultural awareness and understanding of business practices in Malaysia and Southeast Asia.
