Overview
Position: Project Sales Engineer (Automation/Engineering)
Responsibilities
- Maintaining and monitoring project plans, project schedules, budgets and expenditures
- Documenting and following up on important actions and decisions from meetings with customer
- Preparing necessary presentation materials for meetings
- Ensuring project deadlines are met
- Performing measurement systems analysis (MSA) and gage repeatability and reproducibility (R&R) for equipment
- Determining project changes and undertaking project tasks as required
- Ensuring projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project
- Assess project risks & issues, and provide solutions where applicable
- Collaborating with sales team to understand customer requirements and provide sales support
- Serves customers by identifying their needs and engineering adaptations of products, equipment, and services
- Provides product, service, or equipment technical and engineering information by answering questions and requests
- Prepares cost estimation and quotations by studying all related customer documents, requirements and proposals consulting with engineers, technicians, and other team members
- Gains customer acceptance by explaining or demonstrating cost reductions and operations improvements
- Meet with customers at appointments for sales presentations
- Fully comply with all company policy such as Anti-Corruption and Anti-Bribery Policy, Discrimination Policy, Employee Handbook and etc.
- To undertake other responsibilities/tasks when assigned by Head of Department from time to time
Requirements
- Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering/Mechatronics/Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum (1) one or more years of experience working with sales engineer / project engineer in automation/engineering. With project experiences will be added advantage
- Hardworking, aggressive and willing to help each others
- Equipment knowledge & Technical understanding
- Requirement analysis & Presentation skills
- Creativity to approach sales and build relationships with customer
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and a keen eye for detail
- Negotiation and social problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a high-stress sales environment, multitask, and independence; team player, initiative, able to work under stress, good in technical knowledge, creative, good communication and organization skills
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently
- Willing to take up challenges and meet deadlines promptly
