An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Safety and Health Officer to enhance workplace safety across various projects. This role involves coordinating Safety & Health programs, identifying hazards, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. Coordinate the implementation of Safety & Health (S&H) programs across the organization.
Provide guidance and expert advice on S&H practices at the project site.
Identify workplace hazards, assess associated risks, and implement appropriate control measures.
Ensure full compliance with statutory S&H requirements and company standards while fostering a proactive safety culture.
Monitor and report S&H performance, and develop S&H management plans and event calendars for all operations.
Conduct S&H training sessions, toolbox talks, and facilitate monthly safety meetings.
Liaise with relevant regulatory bodies (e.g., JKKP, CIDB, BOMBA, KKM) to address and resolve site issues promptly.
Prepare and submit monthly S&H reports.
Assist in incident investigations and prepare required documentation.
Perform any other duties as assigned by superiors from time to time.
REQUIREMENTS
Possess a Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent qualification in Occupational Safety and Health.
Must hold a valid Green Book (registered SHO).
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the construction industry, preferably with exposure to factory projects.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate and coordinate with clients, consultants, project teams, and stakeholders.
Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
