Overview
Job Purpose: Manages all procurement activities in a specific project.
Responsibilities
- Ensures that the Project policies, procedures, and schedules are aligned to the Procurement Department activities
- Supervises and harmonizes the activities of the Expediter Coordinator, Shipping Coordinator and all buyers working on the Project
- Defines with the Procurement Senior Manager the policy to be followed for spare parts procurement and the conditions under which vendors will provide field supervision
- Manages the Procurement team assigned on permanent basis to the Project Task Force, if applicable
- Makes sure that Buyers selects Vendors in accordance with the Project Vendor List
- Follows all the phases related to the call for bids
- Recommends a payment policy with the aim of avoiding a negative cash-flow balance
- May manage one Project Procurement Coordinator, for larger projects
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years in the related field
- Negotiation skills
