Job summary

Siemens Energy in Malaysia is seeking a Project Procurement Executive to integrate procurement within the PM@Siemens framework and oversee all project procurement activities. You will participate in project and sales meetings, establish sourcing controls, analyze bid inquiries, and support cost data calculations to drive value creation across international supplier networks.

This role requires a degree in Engineering/Procurement, 8 years Offshore & Marine experience, strong stakeholder

Qualifications

• Degree requirement in Engineering/Procurement/Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in Offshore & Marine business.
• Excellent communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Notable execution experience with suppliers in local and international markets.

Responsibilities

• Participates in project/sales meetings as core team member to influence early-stage decisions.
• Establishes sourcing processes and controls all procurement resources in the project.
• Analyses customer inquiries during bid phases to align suppliers with functional needs.
• Supports project calculation with reliable material cost data.
• Analyzes scope of supply and contracts, conducts risk analyses, and makes negotiation recommendations.
• Drives procurement strategies in projects and ensures implementation.
• Heads negotiations and supports specialists on material fields when needed.
• Compiles and reports procurement information for project controlling.

The Project Procurement Executive will Integrate Procurement in the project management process (PM@Siemens) and organizes, controls and monitors all Procurement activities in a project.

How You’ll Make an Impact:

• Participates in project/sales meetings as project core team member to exert a shaping influence at an early stage and to optimize internal workflows and processes.
• Establishes proper sourcing and Procurement processes and controls all Procurement resources and activities in the project.
• Analyzes customer inquiries during bid preparation / opportunity management phases and exactly understands the customer's functional needs to include (supplier) innovations.
• Supports project calculation with reliable material cost data.
• Analyzes scope of supply and contract agreements, carries out risk analyses and introduces negotiation recommendations.
• Analyzes sales and operations planning in respect of starting / new projects, assessing and controlling of material costs within the whole project business in order to ensure the involvement of Procurement.
• Drives Procurement strategies in projects and ensures their implementation.
• Heads up contractual and price negotiations and/or supports the specialist buyers responsible for particular material fields.
• Clarifies internal indicators for project controlling and compiling all relevant information to submit qualified reports.
• Forwards systematically all relevant Procurement related project information.
• Drive cost-benefit analyses, value creation and improvements for products and projects.
• Drive, coordinate & execute negotiations / CVE exercises/ e- Auctions or equivalent SCM initiatives

What You Bring

• Degree in Engineering / Procurement / Supply Chain Management or equivalent
• Extensive background experience in Offshore & Marine business, with minimum 8 years of working experience
• Excellent communication skills- position requires to interact closely between suppliers & internal stake holders (Sales- Project Execution – Commercial – Cross functional units) , team from Singapore to ensure scope & requirement are adequately fulfilled within timeline
• Must have notable execution experience with suppliers from this industry, both local & international
• Proficient in SAP/ MS Office tools & applications, for reporting purpose
• Intercultural experience in an international team
• Interpersonal and communication skill
• Candidates must be ready to take up the position with minimal supervision, high level of competency & accountability, able to contribute efficiently in fast paced & demanding environment.
