Job description

As part of the CAO, Global Program Management is responsible for the highest priority initiatives across AIG's Operations and Technology landscape. This role is critical to the efficient and effective execution of projects and initiatives within a controlled environment.

Ideally you will have
  1. Minimum 5 years’ experience in project management, operations management, processing engineering, or quality engineering, or equivalent consulting experience
  2. Previous exposure to an international business environment
  3. Proven experience working with stakeholders with demonstrated ability to influence, coach, and counsel
  4. Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and negotiation skills
  5. Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams and to apply skills and techniques to solve dynamic problems
  6. Excellent organizational and time management skills
  7. Problem-solving, prioritization, presentation, and facilitation skills with the ability to make recommendations at all organizational levels
  8. Insurance industry experience and knowledge of industry practices, processes, and standards
  9. Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification preferred
  10. Business or management qualification or experience is beneficial
  11. Formal qualifications in areas such as process management or project management are desirable
The preferred candidate will be responsible for:
  1. Developing and executing project plans in line with AIG PMO framework and governance
  2. Developing and gaining approval of project budgets, reviewing expenses, and tracking against approved budgets; verifying and finalizing cost-benefit analyses to ensure maximum cost efficiencies
  3. Organizing and managing Steering Committee and project working group presentations, and presenting business cases and progress reports to the Investment Decision Board
  4. Developing and obtaining approval for business cases and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes
  5. Maximizing value from transformation programs while minimizing impact on customers
  6. Anticipating risks related to people and customer issues and implementing change management plans with minimal business impact
  7. Acting as a change champion for strategic initiatives
