About the role
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing large-scale, complex projects and ensuring their successful delivery on-time, within scope, and budget. In doing so they must set, manage and fulfil customer expectations to ensure the project is a success.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Define and oversee project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility for large-scale, complex projects. Ensure that any commitments made are feasible and achievable.
- Develop, maintain, and adapt detailed project plans, schedules, and milestones, ensuring alignment with organisational strategy and objectives.
- Organise project tasks and allocate resources, ensuring that significant projects are successfully delivered on-time, within scope, and budget.
- Implement and maintain the project governance structure, ensuring alignment with organisational policies and standards, adapting to the needs of each project.
- Manage changes to the project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate change control processes and tools.
- Collect, rationalise, analyse, and utilise multiple points of project data to inform decision-making and drive project performance.
- Manage project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Develop and maintain quality assurance processes, ensuring project deliverables meet the required quality standards, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
- Proactively identify, manage, and mitigate project risks and resolve issues across significant or complex projects, maintaining a risk register and issue log.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and other stakeholders, managing their expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Define, manage and realise project benefits, ensuring alignment with organisational strategy and customer business needs.
- Ensure seamless project handover to operations, including training and support documentation.
- Responsible for the performance review of the PMs directly reporting to the senior PM in the project Org chart
- Responsible for providing feedback on the performance of all the resources working as part of the project to their line managers.
- Accountable for working with the line manager of the resources to develop the required performance improvement plan if needed.
About you
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business, management or engineering.
- Professional Project Management and Agile certification (e.g. PMP, PMI-ACP, Scrum Master)
- 8 years+ experience in project management
- Proven track record in managing significant projects from initiation to completion
- Language skills – Fluent English required, both spoken and written

- An emphasis on gathering, tracking and analysing key project performance metrics to spot trends and continuously improve performance.
