We are seeking a Project Manager to join our Kuala Lumpur office and lead the development of a new LNG bunkering terminal with FSU facilities in the Muar area. The role will focus on securing the necessary permits and managing engineering contractors for the project’s onshore and marine infrastructure. The Project Manager will work closely with the company’s internal team and consultants to ensure smooth progress, regulatory compliance, and successful delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and coordinate the company’s efforts in securing the Manufacturing License, Development Order and Building Permit for the project.
- Work closely with the internal team and appointed consultants to prepare and submit applications to relevant authorities.
- Track regulatory processes and maintain relationships with government agencies and stakeholders.
- Manage engineering contractors responsible for the design of the jetty and shore station.
- Review and oversee engineering deliverables to ensure compliance with local regulations, international standards, and project requirements.
- Monitor design schedules, budgets, and quality assurance processes.
Project Coordination & Reporting
- Act as the project focal point in Malaysia, coordinating between the local team, consultants, and the Singapore-based Engineering Director and project team.
- Maintain project execution plans, milestones, and reporting frameworks.
- Prepare well-written reports, documentation, and presentations for senior management, regulators, and stakeholders.
- Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure timely delivery.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 8–10 years of project management experience in oil & gas, LNG, or marine infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrated experience in permitting, licensing, and stakeholder engagement in Malaysia.
- Strong track record in managing engineering design contractors and consultants.
- Familiarity with international standards (e.g., IGC Code, NFPA, EN/Eurocodes) and Malaysian regulatory requirements.
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to prepare clear, structured, and professional reports and submissions.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-border teams and report to regional management.
