Job summary

Seed System Sdn. Bhd. in Malaysia seeks a hands-on Project Manager to lead data centre infrastructure projects from installation through commissioning and handover.

You will own the delivery of power and cooling systems, coordinate with vendors and internal teams, and ensure the project meets safety, quality, and scheduling targets. Responsibilities include CDU installation, UPS and battery systems, load bank testing, IST, and managing on-site resources for high-density loads.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in mechanical or electrical field.
• 5-10 years experience in UPS and battery systems.
• Experience in data centre projects with high-density loads.
• Experience with integrated system testing (IST) and load bank operations.
• Exposure to coolants (PG25, LC25) and flushing processes.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are seeking a hands-on Project Manager to lead execution of data centre infrastructure projects, covering:

Power Systems (UPS & Battery)

This role requires full ownership from installation - testing - commissioning - handover, ensuring both cooling and power systems are delivered seamlessly.

Key Responsibilities

Manage installation and commissioning of CDU systems

Oversee piping works and flushing activities (DI flushing, passivation, system readiness)

Ensure systems are ready for coolant charging (PG/LC)

Coordinate with vendors, fabricators, and commissioning teams

2. Power Systems (UPS & Battery)

Lead UPS installation, testing, and commissioning

Oversee battery systems (VRLA / Lithium) installation and integration

Coordinate with electrical teams on:

Cable termination

Protection systems

Ensure compliance with testing procedures:

FAT / SAT

Functional testing

3. Load Bank Testing & Integrated Commissioning

Plan and manage load bank testing activities

Coordinate electrical + cooling integration during testing

Ensure proper:

Load stepping

Monitoring

System stability

Troubleshoot issues (e.g. tripping, imbalance, system mismatch)

4. Project & Site Management

Lead daily site coordination across all trades (mechanical + electrical)

Manage schedule, manpower, and execution sequence

Identify risks and drive mitigation actions

Ensure works meet quality, safety, and project requirements

Interface with client, consultant, and internal stakeholders

5. Documentation & Compliance

Review and manage:

Method Statements (MOS)

Handover requirements

Requirements

Degree/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or related field

5-10 years experience in:

UPS & battery systems

Preferred Experience

Data centre projects with high-density loads

Experience in integrated system testing (IST)

Familiar with load bank operations

Exposure to coolants (PG25, LC25) and flushing processes
