Job summary

Climec Engineering Sdn. Bhd. in Malaysia seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead end-to-end cleanroom and M&E construction projects, including HVAC, filtration, piping, and architectural works.

You will develop master schedules, manage budgets, coordinate with clients, consultants, and subcontractors, and ensure safety, quality, and timely delivery while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, HVAC Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 8–10 years of relevant experience in cleanroom, M&E, construction, or engineering projects.
• Hands-on experience delivering cleanroom and M&E installation projects.
• Cleanroom design experience is advantageous.
• PMP, CIDB Green Card, or Certified Construction Project Manager is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
• BIM knowledge is an added advantage.
• Willing to travel and be stationed on-site when required.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
• Commitment to project quality, safety, timelines, and budget control.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of cleanroom design, construction, M&E, HVAC/AHU, filtration, piping, and architectural works.
• Develop and maintain master project schedules, work breakdown structures, and critical path milestones.
• Manage project budgets, profitability, cash flow, variations, and cost allocation.
• Act as primary contact for clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and internal management.
• Lead project kick-off meetings, site progress meetings, and project reporting.
• Negotiate variations and contractual claims with clients and subcontractors.
• Lead project engineers, site supervisors, and M&E subcontractors to meet milestones.
• Oversee procurement of long-lead cleanroom equipment such as AHUs, chilled water systems, HEPA/ULPA units, panels, and BMS.
• Manage subcontractor tendering, evaluation, and performance.
• Ensure compliance with specifications, safety, cleanroom standards, and Malaysian requirements.
• Drive cleanroom qualification activities including DQ, IQ, OQ, and PQ.
• Oversee testing and balancing (TAB), validation docs, as-built drawings, and handover.
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to required quality standards.

• Oversee testing and balancing (TAB), validation documentation, as-built drawings, and client handover.

• Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and according to required quality standards.
