Project Manager

Responsibilities:

• You will be assigned to New Product Development, Customization Product, or Product Transfer Project (mainly from HQ to Malaysia plant).
• Lead project through VAT’s standard process and project milestones (Ideation, Concept, Design, Prototype, Verification, Industrialize, Commercialize).
• Work in close collaboration with various disciplines such as Product Manager, Product Designer, Buyer Specialist, Product Quality Engineer, New Product Introduction Engineer, Lab Engineer, and others as necessary.
• Responsible for acquiring project resources (team members) from various departments and forming a project team accordingly.
• Take a leadership role and navigate the project team towards project goals.
• Develop a project management plan, execute the plan in a timely manner, consistently monitor project progress, and actively attend to project risks, issues, or anything that could negatively impact the project.
• Responsible for project KPIs (scope, schedule, project cost, and product cost).
• Ensure all defined project deliverables are met.
• Attend VAT Innovation Project Review for status reports, change requests, or project milestone approvals.
• Provide project status reports to superiors, management, and key stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
• Ensure communication and engagement with project key stakeholders are always at an optimum level.
• Utilize project management software for project needs, efficiency, and report generation.
• Proactively contribute and support continuous improvement activities.

Minimum Qualification:

• Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or related discipline.
• 5 years working experience as Program/Project Manager, Project Leader, Project Engineer, or Project Coordinator.
• Experience in New Product Development, New Product Introduction (Manufacturing), or Product Transfer projects.
• Experience leading or working as part of cross-functional or international teams.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).

Preferred Qualification:

• Professional Project Management certification such as PMP or PMI-ACP from recognized organizations (e.g., PMI, IPMA).
• Hands-on experience with project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera, Dynamic 365, etc.).
• Experience or knowledge in manufacturing processes, Vacuum-valve, and Semiconductor process/application.
• People management experience.
