Job description

CONSTRUCTION DIVISION

• Having purview of the overall project, providing direction, reviewing and monitoring outcomes of all functions to work together effectively and manage the project on-track.
• To coordinate works and build relationships among departments, consultants, clients, authorities, sub-contractors and suppliers with a focus on negotiating and motivating them to action and manage stakeholders' expectations.
• Be aware of unit costs and monitor and compare daily progress on site with that of the project’s estimate. Review elements that impact construction risk, cost and manage cash flow to achieve the profit target. Understand and integrate diverse functions for process improvement and cost optimization.
• Preparation of project budgets, monitoring of project expenses, taking corrective actions and regular updates on status of project.
• Analyze contractual terms and provides guidance to the team with regard to contractual matters.
• Manage the project to ensure that the project completes on time, with compliance with specified quality and HSE requirements.
• Ensure that the Company’s Quality and HSE Systems are adhered to at all times.
• Achieve total completion of the project and obtain the CPC/ CCC.

Requirement:

• Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• 15+ years of experience in the construction industry.
• Successfully completed 1–2 full construction project cycles in building and/or infrastructure developments.
• Must have the ability to read, interpret, analyze and forecast a project’s cost reports and determine the status of the job in terms of schedule and costing.
• Must have ability to identify and anticipate site and construction problems and implement workable solutions.
• Good relationships with clients, consultants, local authorities, subcontractors and related suppliers.
• Possess strong technical and excellent project management skills.
• Proficient in English and demonstrating strong in communication skills.
• Willing to based in Kuching, Sarawak.
