The role involves managing project teams, ensuring project scope and timelines are adhered to, and maintaining communication with clients and stakeholders. The Project Manager is responsible for the overall management and implementation of project management systems and controls to ensure the effective execution of offshore and onshore projects. This includes development, maintenance, and engineering of integrated schedules, as well as providing cost, budget, milestone, and progress data to support management decision-making and tender preparation.
Manage and direct project teams by providing communication, coordination, and follow-up to meet project goals and objectives.
Ensure project scope of work, schedules, and budgets are clearly defined, agreed upon, and understood by all stakeholders.
Lead the full project lifecycle from planning, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and project close-out.
Develop and implement project execution plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation strategies.
Project Controls & Quality
Establish project procedures consistent with contractual requirements, industry standards, and quality plans.
Determine and oversee all project controls, schedules, and budgets.
Identify, evaluate, and secure approvals for changes in project scope, schedule, and/or budget.
Ensure all deliverables comply with codes, legal requirements, and good engineering practices.
Client & Stakeholder Management
Act as the primary project representative with clients, subcontractors, vendors, consultants, and authorities.
Attend and lead kick-off meetings, job walks, project reviews, and other client engagements.
Maintain continuous communication with clients, ensuring project requirements are met within contractual obligations.
Prepare and present project progress reports, forecasts, and risk assessments to management and clients.
Team Development & Compliance
Mentor, guide, and provide ongoing training to junior and mid-level engineers to promote employee development.
Coordinate compliance measures and training to ensure adherence to project procedures and HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) standards.
Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement across project teams.
Education & Certifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Marine, or related field).
MBA preferred.
Experience:
Minimum 10 years’ experience in project management, preferably in LNG, offshore construction, oil & gas, or marine engineering.
Proven track record managing multimillion-dollar offshore and onshore projects.
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Advanced computer skills, including MS Office and project management tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
Ability to convey precise and accurate information to support management decision-making.
Anticipates challenges and develops proactive solutions.
Results-oriented, strategic thinker and planner.
Strong financial and contract management knowledge.
