A leading company in the semiconductor industry seeks an experienced Project Manager to oversee full-cycle project management, emphasizing cleanroom construction and coordination. The ideal candidate will possess a degree in a relevant field, fluent English skills, and at least 5 years of experience in similar environments. Responsibilities include managing project plans, leading teams, and ensuring compliance with local EHS regulations, making this role essential for successful project execution.
Education: Bachelor’s degree or above in Engineering, Electromechanical, Architecture, Semiconductor, or other related fields.
Work Experience: At least 5 years of project management experience in wafer fabs/semiconductor plants; familiar with construction and coordination processes for cleanrooms, ultra-high purity (UHP) piping, facility systems (FAC / M&E), and clean air-conditioning (ACMV).
Language Proficiency: Fluent in English, able to use it as the working language to communicate with clients, consultants, and multinational teams.
Skills:
Proficient in full-cycle project management (budget, schedule, quality, safety).
Skilled in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, AutoCAD).
Familiar with local contractor management processes; candidates with experience in managing local projects in Malaysia are preferred.
Other Requirements: Strong communication skills; good teamwork and leadership abilities; able to work on-site and adapt to multi-tasking in engineering environments.
Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for the full-cycle management of specific projects from bidding to delivery.
Develop project plans, coordinate resource allocation, and ensure timely and quality completion of project objectives.
Organize and coordinate relationships among the client, design firms, general contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Lead weekly construction meetings; supervise construction progress, process standards, and safety measures.
Manage project changes, material deliveries, construction milestones, and quality inspections.
Regularly report project status, risk alerts, and key issue resolution suggestions to headquarters.
Assist in budget preparation and cost control.
Follow up on contract execution, payment processes, and claims/change management.
Support the commercial team in client communications and document approvals.
Manage the on-site project team and motivate execution among construction and management personnel.
Train local team members to improve project management capabilities.
Establish project operation processes and optimize execution efficiency.
Be familiar with local Malaysian EHS regulations and construction codes to ensure legal and compliant execution.
Communicate effectively in English with clients to ensure information transparency and timely decision-making.
Maintain strong relationships with clients and owners to enhance the company's brand image.
