Job summary

A-Power Engineering Pte Ltd in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a disciplined engineer to support M&E projects from planning to handover. You will plan and schedule works, coordinate with suppliers, and manage subcontractors to ensure timely installation and compliance with drawings and specs.

You should have a Diploma or Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Building Services, with NITEC / Higher NITEC as an alternative, and be willing to handle site activities, documentation, and client

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering / Building Services or related disciplines.
• NITEC or Higher NITEC in Electrical / Mechanical / Building Services with 2-3 years working experience may apply also
• Preferably 1-2 years M&E Installation experience in Additions & Alteration or Greenfield projects; candidates with limited experience are welcome to apply
• A self-starter who can work independently and collaboratively in a team
• Highly motivated and capable to work under tight schedules
• Proven experience in a project management support role (or similar) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule works in accordance to contractual schedules
• Coordinate delivery of goods with suppliers and manage installation works with subcontractors as required
• Attend to all daily operational matters related to the project execution
• Liaise with customers/consultants/project managers for approval of plans and drawings, acceptance of work, and work progress
• Attend site meetings and inspections, report progress and monitor the project schedule
• Update as-built drawings
• Perform testing and commissioning of completed installations with Customers/Consultants/Sub-contractors
• Coordinate the handover of completed project including O&M Manual to customers/consultants/project managers
• Any other duties to support the project
