Job summary

GRID VISION T&D SDN. BHD. is seeking a Project Engineer to manage end-to-end SCADA projects in Malaysia. You will coordinate quotations, site visits, and commercial documentation, while aligning deliverables with TNB contracts and project timelines.

You will support handover activities, maintain technical and commercial documentation, and collaborate with internal teams, main contractors, and clients including TNB. Mobility and multitasking are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
• 2-3 years experience in project management is an added advantage.
• PM Certifications (PMP) are advantageous.
• Demonstrate success in complex exhibits project management.
• Demonstrate ability to multitask, manage, and lead a team of professionals.

Responsibilities

• Execute end-to-end activities for SCADA projects including quotation support, site visits, and commercial documentation.
• Coordinate with internal teams, main contractors, and clients (including TNB and regional control centers).
• Ensure project deliverables meet TNB contract/SLA requirements and timelines.
• Support project handover activities, including documentation, reporting, and system status updates.
• Coordinate site documentation and technical deliverables for SCADA systems.
• Support testing, system updates, and MOS and other submissions.
• Liaise with clients, engineering teams, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.
• Document processes, reports, and responsibilities to ensure continuity.

Job description

Execute end-to-end activities for SCADA projects including quotation support, site visits, and commercial documentation.

Coordinate with internal teams, main contractors, and clients (including TNB and regional control centers).

Ensure project deliverables were completed according to TNB contract/ SLA requirements and project timelines.

Supported project handover activities, including documentation, reporting, and system status updates.

2. Documentation & Reporting

Prepare and maintain technical and commercial documentation such as quotations, site visit reports, commercial documents, site technical documentation (datasheets, monitoring diagrams, SAT, etc.).

Prepare and submit periodic reports such as DCU status reports, patching reports, SLA-based performance reports, and retention reports.

Maintain structured project folders and document repositories to ensure proper handover and traceability.

3. Site & Technical Support

Coordinate site documentation and technical deliverables for SCADA systems.

Support testing, system updates, and any activities.

Assist in the preparation of the Method of Statement (MOS) and other technical submissions.

Worked closely with our partner/ TNB personnel for system connectivity and reporting.

4. Stakeholder Management

Liaised with clients, internal engineering teams, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.

Coordinate meetings, submission follow-ups, and project progress tracking.

Ensure all required submissions and reports were delivered in accordance with project requirements.

5. Project Handover & Knowledge Transfer

Ensure continuity of project activities by documenting processes, reports, and responsibilities.

Support ongoing testing and system monitoring during the maintenance phase.

Job Qualification:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field.

2-3 years experiences in project management field is an added advantage.

Certifications in Project Management (PMP) are advantageous.

Demonstrate success in complex exhibits project management.

Demonstrate ability to multitask, manage, experienced, creative & talented group of professionals.

We are a System Integration company doing Automation in Electrical Power Industry. Our project include design, supply, deliver, install, testing and commissioning for Substation RTU/SCADA system and Transformer Condition Monitoring System.

Our Main Customer is TNB, SEB, SESB, IPP, Steel Plant and Main-COntractor in Electrical Power Transmission & Distribution Industry.

Our Main Product is RTU(Remote Terminal Unit), SCADA software and Transformer Condition Monitoring System, we are sole agent of oversea reputable company for these products, and we buy in these equipment and do integartion with other product and supply to customer with a complete solution.

A RTU is an equipment which can concentrate all signals in an Electrical Substation by hardwire, and then re-transmit the signals to a Master Station using communication equipment and communication protocol.

A Transformer Condition Monitoring System can detect the dissolved gas in the transformer oil, and decide whether the Transformer is in healthy condition or not.

On communication side, we are also providing our GPRS communication system, which is being used by 3,000 over TNB substation at the moment.

We are also doing SCADA software for monitoring and control electrical substations.

Our future direction will be going towards the smart grid direction following the world utilities trend
