Job summary

A construction company in Bayan Lepas, Penang is looking for a Site Supervisor to oversee site works and monitor progress. The role requires preparing technical submissions and ensuring site safety. Candidates should have a Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering and preferably 2 years of experience in the construction field. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Navisworks is an added advantage.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of working experience in the construction industry preferred.
• Ability to work independently under minimum supervision.
• Local candidates from Penang preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise site works and ensure compliance with specifications.
• Monitor subcontractors and work progress.
• Prepare technical submissions including Shop Drawings and P&IDs.

Job description

1. Site supervision and arrangement of site works and other activities that are carried out at the construction site;

2. Monitor work progress and sub-contractors to ensure works are carried out on schedule and conformed to specifications;

3. To prepare technical submissions: Shop Drawings, P&IDs, RFIs, etc;

4. Attend meetings and liaise closely with client/consultant as well as local authorities pertaining to the project;

5. Ensure discipline and good morale maintained at the construction site;

6. Ensure site safety and health requirements are maintained and practiced at all times;

7 Ensure quality of work is up to specified requirements;

8. Preparation of work progress report and other relevant reports for the project;

9. To assist in quantity pick up;

10. Other related duties as assigned by Project Manager;

Requirements:

1. Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent;

2. Min. 2 years working experience in the construction industry is an added advantage;

3. Able to work independently under minimum supervision;

4. Prefer local from Penang.

5. Good interpersonal and communication skills;

6. Proficient in AutoCAD and Naviswork is an added advantage;

7. Possess own transport;

8. Contract based employment based at Bayan Lepas Penang.
