Job summary

A leading company in the green energy sector seeks a Solar PV Engineer to oversee C&I-scale solar PV developments. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting engineering surveys, system design, and project management, ensuring adherence to best practices and safety protocols for premium clients. The position offers exposure to significant sustainability initiatives aligned with Gentari's goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience in the solar or electrical industry.
• Willingness to travel or relocate.

Responsibilities

• Conduct engineering site surveys for solar PV system installation.
• Design solar PV systems, manage suppliers and schedules.
• Coordinate with authorities for grid interconnection and installation matters.

Job description

Description

• Conduct engineering site survey for solar PV system installation.
• Design solar PV system including but not limited to electrical, structural and mechanical.
• Plan and manage material purchase and subcontract via ERP system.
• Liaise and manage sub-contractors for their scope of works, schedules and monitoring workmanship qualities or subcontractors during installation.
• Attend site meeting or any ad hoc meeting
• Work with internal and/or external parties such as TNB, consulting firms, local authorities licensing matters and documentation.
• Liaise and coordinate with TNB HQ & local authorities on meter installation and grid interconnection of solar PV system.
• Setup remote monitoring system and conduct test & commissioning of the solar PV system.
• Weekly reporting and new project scheduling.
• Implement best practices and safe work procedure for every project.
• Organize a post mortem meeting for evaluation of project results, challenges faced and provide recommendations for future improvement.
• About the Projects: Candidate will involve in C&I-scale solar PV developments for premium clients in the green energy sector, including a flagship portfolio aligned with Gentari's sustainability goals

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 3 Year(s) of working experience in Solar or Electrical industry.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Ability to multi-task and work in fast paced environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project and other related Microsoft Office Product.
• Proficient in ERP system will be an added advantage.
• Proficient in AutoCAD.
• Knowledge and experience in Solar PV system and PVSYST will be an added advantage.
• Willing to travel or relocate with own transport.
• Proactive, self-motivated, team player with high integrity.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
