About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our dynamic team at ALAM REKA BINA SDN BHD in Kepong, Kuala Lumpur. As a Project Engineer, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the successful delivery of our civil and structural engineering projects. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of challenging projects and contribute to the company's growth and success.

What you'll be doing

• Manage and coordinate all aspects of civil and structural engineering projects, including planning, design, and construction
• Liaise with clients and subcontractors to ensure effective communication and timely project delivery
• Oversee project budgets, schedules, and quality control to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards
• Identify and resolve technical issues, provide engineering solutions, and make recommendations to improve project efficiency
• Coordinate and supervise the work of project teams, including engineers, technicians, and site personnel
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the company's engineering practices and processes

What we're looking for

• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (Environmental), Quantity Surveyor or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar Project Engineer role, preferably in the construction industry
• Strong technical knowledge and understanding of civil and structural engineering principles, practices, and project management
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills
• Proficient in the use of engineering software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, BIM, structural analysis software)
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Familiarity with relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards in the construction industry
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
