Job summary

A leading company in the fire safety industry is seeking an independent and resourceful Project Engineer based in Johor Bahru. The successful candidate will manage M&E works for fire protection services, ensuring compliance with specifications and safety codes. Ideal candidates will possess a diploma/degree in engineering and good communication skills, particularly in English and Mandarin.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma/Degree in Engineering with 1 year of relevant experience.
• SPM holders with more than 5 years in relevant fields encouraged to apply.
• Fluency in English, Mandarin, and Malay is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for project management works in all stages of M&E works.
• Monitor and supervise site construction works according to fire codes.
• Provide weekly & monthly project updates on site progress.

Job description

We are expanding and welcome independent, aggressive, assertive, action & result-oriented individuals who have leadership capability to join us for this position of Project Engineer for our projects in the Johor Bahru area.

Job Responsibilities:

To be responsible for project management works in all stages of M&E works for fire protection services.

Must have the independent ability to coordinate/work with all relevant parties (such as contractors, clients, and suppliers) / liaise with local authorities on-site work arrangements.

To monitor and supervise the site construction works to ensure that all works of the project are carried out in accordance with the order requirements, drawings and in compliance with fire code and according to the project time schedule

Responsible for checking and verifying all plans, coordinating design and planning works and construction drawings with all relevant parties

To coordinate with sub-contractor on-site material requirements and monitoring of it usage.

To ensure sub-contractor's installation comply with specifications and construction drawings.

To attend, arrange, and conduct sub-contractor meetings as well as attend other technical interface meetings with clients and consultants.

To provide weekly & monthly report project updates on site progress

Job Requirements:

1. Min Diploma/Degree in Engineering studies with 1 year of experience in relevant job scopes. SPM holders with more than 5 years of relevant working experience in the building safety, construction, machinery, and electrical engineering industries are encouraged to apply.

2. Intendant, Mature, Resourceful, Self Driven individual who possess good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, fast learner.

3. A candidate who can speak English, Mandarin and Malay will possess an additional advantage (as the Client conducts meetings using a mixture of English and Mandarin language)

4. Possess Own Transport.

5. Being able to speak Mandarin is an additional advantage.

6. Any other tasks given by the HOD/ Superior.
