HFS Heavy Industries Sdn. Bhd. in Johor Bahru invites a capable Project Engineer to lead planning, coordination and execution of critical engineering projects on site, ensuring schedules, budgets and quality targets are met.

You will collaborate with senior engineers, clients and suppliers, manage documentation, conduct site inspections and drive continuous improvement while traveling to project sites as required.

Formación

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or related discipline).
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in project engineering or project management within heavy industries, construction or manufacturing.
• Mandarin proficiency (speaking, reading, writing).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles and project management methodologies.
• Willingness to undertake site visits and occasional travel.

About the role

We are seeking a talented Project Engineer to join HFS Heavy Industries Sdn. Bhd. in Johor Bahru, Johor. This is a full‑time position that plays a crucial role in the successful delivery and execution of our engineering projects. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for coordinating, planning, and overseeing various aspects of project implementation, ensuring that all work is completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role is integral to our operations and offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on project outcomes whilst working with a dynamic and experienced team.

What you'll be doing

Planning, coordinating and managing project schedules, budgets and resources to ensure timely and cost‑effective project delivery

Developing detailed project plans and technical specifications in collaboration with senior engineers and stakeholders

Monitoring project progress and identifying potential risks, implementing corrective actions as necessary

Liaising with clients, contractors, suppliers and internal teams to ensure clear communication and alignment on project objectives

Preparing and maintaining comprehensive project documentation, reports and site records

Conducting site inspections and quality assurance checks to ensure compliance with specifications and safety standards

Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and best practices within project execution

What we're looking for

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or related discipline)

Minimum 3 years of professional experience in project engineering or project management within the heavy industries, construction or manufacturing sectors

Proficiency in Speaking, Writing and Reading Mandarin.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Strong understanding of engineering principles, project management methodologies and site operations

Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders

Attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety standards

Problem‑solving mindset with the ability to think analytically and propose practical solutions

Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and compliance requirements in heavy industries is highly desirable

Willingness to undertake site visits and occasional travel as required by project needs.
