Job description

Responsibilities

• Communicate, transferring and consolidating customer’s design, BOM, technical drawings, specifications, and documents into RFQ package for costing purposes.
• Communicating and coordinating with commercial team or customer, technical review team and sourcing team for any discrepancy, missing information and technical issues related to drawings and builds.
• Influences and finetunes designs to reduce manufacturing cost from initial concept and throughout the product lifecycle.
• Understand the manufacturing landscape, capabilities, limitations, technologies available and emerging to produce parts. Have a pulse on how things are made and how they will be made in the future
• Review and evaluate price variance requests from sales or customers.
• Utilize cost methodologies and tools and appropriate software models and packages to prepare and maintain reliable and accurate data.
• Investigate and identify cost reduction opportunities through cost analysis review.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to improve system/part cost, costing models, RFQ analysis, and cost negotiations.
• Develop detailed reports on cost/price analysis, including recommending standard cost adjustments.

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or Mechatronic or similar Engineering field.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience and practices in high precision Industrial Machinery & Equipment industry.
• Able to read and interpret engineering / manufacturing drawings, knowledge of geometric dimension and tolerance standard.
• Knowledgeable in Solid Works and Auto Cad.
• Knowledge in advance manufacturing methodology like 4/5 axis milling machining, turn-mill/mill-turn machining, welding, additive manufacturing, manufacturing automation / robotization, industrial 4.0, etc.
• Has excellent analytical and simulation skills for product costs calculation.
• Professional communication and convincing skills. Experiences on reporting cost validations, opportunities, and risks.
• Disciplined and positive attitude and ability to work in a team, able to work with cross function team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with good presentation skills
• Ability to work in a team environment, extremely well-organized and able to consistently meet stringent deadlines of multiple RFQs while working with minimal supervision and sometimes minimal information.
