We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Project Director to lead the end-to-end development and construction of new theme park attractions, expansions, and integrated facilities. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in project management, construction, and theming for entertainment, theme park, or leisure industries. This role requires strategic leadership, operational insight, and the ability to deliver complex projects on time, within budget, and aligned with the company’s guest experience vision.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Project Leadership & Strategic Planning
    Lead master planning, conceptual development, and execution of theme park and entertainment construction projects.
    Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, budget, and timelines.
    Translate creative concepts into executable design and construction plans.
  2. Construction & Development Management
    Oversee all aspects of project construction including civil, MEP, architectural works, and fit-outs.
    Manage contracts, contractors, vendors, and consultants throughout the project lifecycle.
    Ensure quality, safety, and compliance with local regulatory and statutory requirements.
  3. Budgeting & Cost Control
    Prepare, monitor, and control CAPEX budgets.
    Oversee procurement processes and value engineering efforts to optimize costs.
    Track and report on financial status and forecast project cash flows.
  4. Timeline & Delivery Management
    Develop and manage project schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
    Drive timely decision-making and remove obstacles that may delay progress.
    Conduct regular site reviews, progress updates, and issue resolution.
  5. Stakeholder & Team Management
    Act as the central point of contact for all internal and external stakeholders.
    Coordinate with creative, design, operations, and marketing teams to align the project with business goals.
    Manage multidisciplinary teams including architects, engineers, consultants, and contractors.
  6. Theming & Guest Experience Integration
    Ensure themed design elements meet creative expectations and guest experience standards.
    Collaborate with ride vendors, show producers, and technology providers to ensure immersive, operationally viable attractions.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
Minimum 10 years of project management experience, with at least 5 years in large-scale theme park or leisure industry construction.
Proven track record of delivering complex, high-value developments from concept to opening.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, theme park safety codes, ride system integration, and project controls.
Familiarity with Malaysian building regulations and authorities (if local).
PMP or similar project management certification is an advantage.
Willingness to travel to site, working on weekends/Public Holidays if needed.
