A prominent organization is seeking a Project Director to lead and manage large-scale construction projects. The ideal candidate will oversee project lifecycle, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with safety and technical standards. Candidates should have extensive experience in civil engineering or related fields and a proven track record in project management.
Provide strategic leadership and oversight throughout the entire project lifecycle, ensuring all functions are aligned and integrated.
Manage project budgets, timelines, resources, and risks to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and with optimal safety and quality levels.
Monitor and assess project milestones regularly, identifying issues early and taking corrective actions to maintain progress.
Build and manage relationships among internal departments, consultants, clients, authorities, sub-contractors, and suppliers, focusing on negotiation and stakeholder management.
Oversee construction activities to ensure strict adherence to technical specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Manage the subcontracting process, including scope definition, tender preparation, bid evaluation, pricing strategy, and cost estimation.
Review and approve major decisions, procurement approaches, and contract variations.
Ensure the effective implementation of all relevant policies, procedures, and work instructions as outlined in the Quality and Health, Safety & Environmental Management System.
Provide regular updates to relevant authorities and committees on project progress.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related disciplines, with relevant professional qualifications and affiliations.
Minimum 20 years of experience in planning, design, tendering, and monitoring building contracts.
Proven track record of successfully completing large-scale building and construction projects from inception to completion.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Experience handling religious property developments is an advantage.
