Job summary

Brighten Business Consulting is seeking a Project Coordinator (AutoCAD) to support construction and renovation projects for our Hong Kong-based client. The role centers on preparing, updating, and coordinating AutoCAD drawings for submissions, shop drawings, and as-built records, while collaborating with project managers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.

• Minimum 1–3 years of experience in construction, renovation, interior fit-out, or A&A projects.
• Proficient in AutoCAD with the ability to independently prepare and revise shop drawings, construction drawings, submission drawings, and as-built drawings.
• Able to read and interpret architectural and construction drawings.
• Familiar with construction documentation, material submissions, and project coordination processes.
• Experience working with contractors, consultants, or main contractors is preferred.
• Knowledge of Excel and project documentation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, modify, and update 2D AutoCAD drawings for construction, renovation, and A&A projects.
• Produce and revise: shop drawings, submission drawings, and as-built drawings.
• Coordinate drawing revisions based on client, consultant, and site requirements.
• Maintain proper version control and filing of all technical drawings.
• Coordinate material submissions, shop drawings, and technical documentation with contractors and subcontractors.
• Assist the Project Manager in tracking project schedules, submissions, testing, commissioning, and handover documentation.
• Follow up on drawing approvals and project progress.
• Liaise with consultants, suppliers, contractors, and internal project teams.
• Maintain organized project records and documentation.
• Support other project administration duties assigned by the Project Manager.

About Our Client

Our client is a Hong Kong based main contractor established in 2008, specializing in renovation works, alteration and addition (A and A) works, and fitting-out projects. The company has strong experience in managing construction projects from planning through to completion, working closely with contractors, subcontractors, and project stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Position Overview

We are looking for a Project Coordinator (AutoCAD) to support construction and renovation projects for our Hong Kong-based client.

The primary responsibility of this role is to prepare, update, and coordinate AutoCAD drawings for construction submissions, shop drawings, and as-built drawings. In addition, you will support project coordination by working closely with project managers, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project documentation and submissions are completed accurately and on time.

This position is ideal for candidates with 1–3 years of experience in construction, renovation, fit‑out, or A&A projects who enjoy both technical drawing and project coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

AutoCAD Drawing & Technical Documentation (Primary Responsibility – 60–70%)

• Prepare, modify, and update 2D AutoCAD drawings for construction, renovation, and A&A projects.
• Produce and revise:
• Shop drawings
• Submission drawings
• As-built drawings
• Layout drawings
• Detail drawings
• Coordinate drawing revisions based on client, consultant, and site requirements.
• Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications and submission standards.
• Maintain proper version control and filing of all technical drawings.

Project Coordination (30–40%)

• Coordinate material submissions, shop drawings, and technical documentation with contractors and subcontractors.
• Assist the Project Manager in tracking project schedules, submissions, testing, commissioning, and handover documentation.
• Follow up on drawing approvals and project progress.
• Liaise with consultants, suppliers, contractors, and internal project teams.
• Maintain organized project records and documentation.
• Support other project administration duties assigned by the Project Manager.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1–3 years of experience in construction, renovation, interior fit-out, or A&A projects.
• Proficient in AutoCAD with the ability to independently prepare and revise:
• Shop drawings
• Construction drawings
• Submission drawings
• As-built drawings
• Able to read and interpret architectural and construction drawings.
• Familiar with construction documentation, material submissions, and project coordination processes.
• Good understanding of renovation, fit-out, or A&A project workflow.

Languages

• Mandarin or Cantonese – Required (to communicate with the Hong Kong project team)

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with contractors, consultants, or main contractors.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and project documentation.
• Familiarity with SketchUp or other drafting software is an advantage.
