Job summary

The ideal candidate will have 2–4 years of project coordination experience, strong English, and proficiency with MS Office and project management tools. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor project activities to ensure timely completion.
• Prepare weekly and bi-weekly project progress reports.
• Track project schedules, deliverables, and outstanding tasks.
• Liaise with internal teams, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Analyze and support Solar PV monitoring and technical performance.
• Assist in documentation and compliance (JSA, MOS, PTW, etc.).
• Support handover, administration, procurement and logistics.
• Contribute to continuous process improvements and ad-hoc tasks.

Project Coordinator

About the role

JT Green Tech SDN BHD is seeking a dedicated and organised Project Coordinator to join our engineering team. This is a full-time position based in Bukit Damansara, Kuala Lumpur, where you will play a vital role in coordinating and supporting the successful delivery of our engineering projects. As Project Coordinator, you will be the operational backbone of our project teams, ensuring that projects run smoothly, on schedule, and within budget. Your attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously will be essential to supporting our project managers and engineering teams in achieving their objectives.

What you'll be doing

Project Coordination

• Coordinate and monitor project activities to ensure timely completion
• Prepare weekly and bi-weekly project progress reports
• Track project schedules, deliverables, and outstanding tasks
• Liaise with internal teams, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors

Solar PV Monitoring & Technical Support

• Analyze Solar PV system performance using Excel and monitoring data
• Perform remote monitoring and system setting adjustments to optimize performance.
• Assist in troubleshooting and performance reporting

Documentation & Compliance

• Prepare project documentation including:
• Job Safety Analysis (JSA)
• Method of Statement (MOS)
• Permit to Work (PTW)
• Worker Name Lists
• Technical Submittals
• Site Documentation
• Acknowledgement Letters
• Compile and prepare documents for:
• CIDB Applications
• JKKP Applications
• Licensing Applications
• Other regulatory submissions

Handover & Administration

• Prepare and compile project handover documentation.
• Monitor pending tasks and ensure project close-out requirements are completed.
• Assist in preparing supporting documents for project claims and invoicing.
• Assist in insurance applications and monitor insurance status.

Procurement & Logistics

• Assist in Bill of Materials (BOM) preparation.
• Coordinate material deliveries and monitor delivery status.
• Maintain project records and inventory-related documentation.

Continuous Improvement

• Support process improvements and workflow enhancements.
• Assist Management and Project Team on project-related matters.

Ad-Hoc

• Assist with ad-hoc assignments as required

What we're looking for

1. Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Project Management, or a related field
2. Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in project coordination, project administration, or a similar supporting role within engineering or construction environments
3. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
4. Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Project)
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
6. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment whilst maintaining independence
7. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and record-keeping
8. Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify issues and propose practical solutions
9. Familiarity with engineering or construction project environments preferred
10. Required to travel when required.
