A leading company in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Project Coordinator to assist in the management of construction projects from inception to completion. The role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with project timelines. Ideal candidates will have a degree in civil engineering or related fields and experience in construction management. Strong organizational skills and familiarity with project management tools are essential.
Project Management & Coordination: Assist the project manager in executing construction from inception to completion, ensuring all milestones are met. Oversee daily activities and coordinate with internal teams, consultants, contractors, and suppliers. Perform additional duties as assigned by the superior.
Budget & Schedule Management: Support the project manager in recording and monitoring project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure efficient delivery. Assist in reviewing and verifying work progress claims, delivery orders (DO), invoices, and obtaining approvals for purchase orders (PO), resolutions, and official letters.
Documentation and Meetings: Organize and document meeting schedules, take minutes, and ensure proper filing of all documentation. Familiarize with contract documents and construction drawings. Drive daily documentation for construction activities, material submissions, and sample approvals. Coordinate with departments, consultants, contractors, and authorities for documentation release. Draft correspondence letters as needed.
Site Inspection and Coordination: Assist in scheduling and conducting regular site inspections and coordination meetings. Liaise and attend meetings with consultants, contractors, sub-contractors, and relevant authorities.
At least SPM/'O' Level, Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Diploma, Bachelor's Degree in civil engineering, M&E engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Sustainable and Renewable Energy, or related fields.
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in construction management or project development, preferably with exposure to large-scale retail, commercial, or mixed-use developments.
Experience with MNCs or international projects is advantageous. Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and technologies. Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Microsoft Office, MS Project, AutoCAD) and design tools.
Willingness to travel inter-state is preferred.
