Job summary

ABB in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia is seeking a Financial Project Controller to drive financial activities for multiple projects and partner with the project team to optimize performance.

You will support tendering, monitor cash flow and margins, and manage currency risk, bonds, guarantees and tax issues. Strong SAP/Excel/Power BI skills and English fluency are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Professional Certificate in Accounting or Finance.
• 5–10 years in project controlling or project finance.
• Experience with SAP, Excel and Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Drive all financial activities for multiple projects and partner with PM team.
• Participate in tendering to negotiate commercial and financial issues.
• Conduct monthly project reviews to optimize cash flow, revenues and gross margin.
• Review risks and contingencies; ensure accurate balance sheets, income statements and forecasts.
• Promote commercial awareness and input to project plans (T&Cs, claims, back-to-back).
• Ensure adherence to governance, controls and internal finance directives.

Each day, you will act as a business partner to the Project Management team, supporting all financial and commercial matters.
