Job summary

Power Hz Engineering Sdn Bhd is seeking a Project Commissioning Engineer/Manager to lead solar project commissioning activities on site. You will ensure safety, quality, and compliance with project specifications and timelines while coordinating with engineering and operations teams.

The role requires strong technical leadership, hands-on problem solving, and a track record of managing commissioning teams to achieve smooth site operations and documented procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5–10 years of solar industry experience.
• Strong understanding of construction and commissioning management processes.
• Experience leading teams for on-site operations.

Responsibilities

• Execute and manage commissioning activities for solar projects.
• Provide technical expertise throughout commissioning and ensure safety and compliance.
• Develop and review procedures, checklists, and schedules with engineering/operations.
• Capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement in commissioning.

PROJECT COMMISSIONING ENGINEER / MANAGER

1. Job Summary

• Responsible for executing and managing efficient commissioning activities for solar projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications, timelines and quality standards.
• Provide technical expertise and support throughout commissioning activities, ensuring alignment with project objectives and operational requirements.

2. Responsibilities

• Responsible for the execution and documentation of commissioning activities in accordance with project plans, ensuring safety and compliance with relevant standards.
• Identify and resolve commissioning challenges by providing effective solutions to maintain project schedules.
• Develop and review commissioning procedures, checklists and schedules in collaboration with engineering and operations teams.
• Drive continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and implementing best practices in commissioning activities.

3. Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering ( Electrical, or equivalent).
• Graduates from Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) or Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN) are preferred.

4. Experience

• Minimum 5–10 years of relevant working experience in the solar industry.
• Strong understanding of construction and commissioning management processes within the relevant engineering discipline.
