We are seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Milling Machine Operator for our Makino S33 machine. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating the machine, performing CAM programming, and fabricating electrodes, sub-inserts, and various tooling components. This position also involves designing and fabricating jigs and fixtures, as well as providing technical support to ensure minimal production downtime. The ability to work independently and efficiently is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and Operate CNC Milling Machine (Makino S33): Efficiently set up and operate the CNC milling machine, ensuring high precision and quality of parts produced.
- CAM Programming: Create and modify CAM programs for various machining tasks to optimize machine performance and part quality.
- Fabrication of Electrodes and Sub-Inserts: Manufacture and modify electrodes and sub-inserts to meet production requirements, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Tool Modification Design: Generate innovative ideas and implement modifications to tooling to improve machining efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure quality.
- Design and Fabrication of Jigs & Fixtures: Design, fabricate, and test jigs and fixtures to enhance manufacturing processes and ensure accurate and repeatable machining.
- 3D Software Proficiency: Utilize 3D software like Unigraphics for designing parts and tooling. Knowledge of AutoCAD is an added advantage.
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years of working experience in a CNC machining or related field.
- Timely Production Support: Provide proactive and timely technical support to the production team to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.
- Independent Work: Take initiative and work independently, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and accurately with minimal supervision.
- Ad-Hoc Tasks: Perform any additional tasks or duties as assigned by superiors or management to support the business needs.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience operating CNC Milling machines, specifically the Makino S33.
- Strong knowledge of CAM programming and related software.
- Familiarity with electrode and sub-insert fabrication.
- Ability to design and fabricate jigs and fixtures.
- Proficiency in 3D software such as Unigraphics (AutoCAD knowledge is a plus).
- At least 4 years of experience in a related field.
- Ability to troubleshoot and provide production support to minimize downtime.
- Ability to work independently with a strong sense of responsibility.
- Willingness to take on ad-hoc tasks as required by management.
