Job Description:
The Programme Specialist is responsible for overseeing the development, coordination, and execution of English Speech and Drama programmes conducted in pre-schools. This role involves liaising with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring high-quality program delivery, and continuously improving offerings to meet the needs of children, parents, and educators.
Job Responsibilities:
· Plan, develop, and implement English Speech and Drama enrichment programs tailored for preschool children.
· Design creative and engaging lesson plans aligned with learning objectives in speech, drama, and communication skills.
· Evaluate and refine curriculum content to ensure age appropriateness and developmental value.
· Conduct trial classes, demo sessions, and regular classes as required.
· Stay updated on trends in drama education and integrate innovative methodologies into the curriculum.
· Monitor program effectiveness through observation, feedback, and performance reviews.
· Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of English Speech and Drama trainers.
· Manage scheduling, trainer assignments, and class coverage to ensure consistent delivery.
· Collaborate with schools, centers, and parents to ensure alignment of program goals and expectations.
· Coordinate logistics, venues, and materials needed for smooth execution of classes and performances.
· Lead and support parent showcases, open houses, and student performances.
· Represent the organization at roadshows, events, and parent engagement sessions.
· Maintain records of trainer performance, class quality, enrolment data, and budget tracking.
· Ensure compliance with safety, child protection, and quality standards in all teaching environments.
Job Requirements:
· A recognised qualification in Speech & Drama, Theatre or Communication Skills from Trinity College London or London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art (LAMDA) preferred
· Relevant diploma or degree from LASALLE, NAFA, NUS and Early Childhood Education will be considered
· Any other professional teaching qualifications in Drama, Performance or Theatre will be considered
· Minimum 2 years of teaching Speech and Drama and/or 1 year of experience teaching preschools preferred
· Excellent command of spoken & written English
· Energetic, creative, passionate, good team player.
· Familiarity with performance-based learning and creative teaching methods.
· Strong communication and classroom management skills.
· Experience with curriculum planning and a passion for developing children's confidence and expressive abilities.
· Eagerness to grow, learn, and innovate in teaching methodologies
· Creative, independent, and proactive, with a strong sense of ownership.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office; design tools or video editing skills are a bonus.
· Enjoys working with children from ages 3 to 6 and/or 7 to 12
· Willingness to work some evenings or weekends for events.
