About The Role

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Social Impact to lead and execute the Group’s social impact strategy, focusing on financial inclusion, community development, and sustainability goals. This role ensures alignment with business objectives, ESG commitments, and long-term sustainability targets, while driving measurable outcomes and stakeholder engagement across ASEAN. The Senior Manager will oversee the development, execution, and reporting of social impact initiatives, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, and ensure alignment with frameworks like GRI and SASB. Additionally, the role involves managing impact analysis, mentoring team members, building cross-functional relationships, and positioning the Group as a regional leader in social impact, reporting to the Head of Group Communications and Social Impact, and senior leadership.

What You Will Be Doing

Social Impact and Financial Inclusion Responsibilities:

  • Financial Inclusion & Empowerment
  • Drive initiatives to empower underserved segments and improve financial literacy.
  • Expand access to financial services and measure tangible outcomes.
  • Program Development & Innovation
  • Deliver impactful programs on time and within budget.
  • Scale successful initiatives across ASEAN and introduce innovative solutions annually.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
  • Build partnerships with NGOs, government, and community groups.
Strategic Leadership In Social Impact

  • Develop, refine and implement the Group’s social impact strategy
  • Ensuring alignment with sustainability goals, and the broader corporate strategy
  • Lead initiatives to increase financial literacy, access to banking, and improved community well-being, ensuring alignment with business and sustainability KPIs
  • Spearhead the design and execution of flagship social impact programs to achieve measurable and scalable outcomes.
Sustainability Reporting & Governance

  • Lead the preparation of sustainability-related reporting and decks for high-level committees such as the Group Sustainability Council (GSC) and the Board Sustainability Committee (BSC)
  • Oversee the social impact content preparation for the annual Sustainability Report (SR) and Integrated Annual Report (IAR), ensuring alignment with global frameworks such as GRI, SASB, and TCFD.
Social Impact Framework Development & Execution

  • Lead the research, stakeholder engagement, cascading, and monitoring of the Group's Social Impact Framework, supporting the Head of Group Corporate Communications and Social Impact.
  • Oversee metrics, KPIs, and impact assessment tools to evaluate the long-term success of social impact programs.
Stakeholder Engagement & Partnership Development

  • Build and manage strategic partnerships with government bodies, NGOs, multilateral agencies, and private-sector partners to expand the reach and impact of social impact initiatives.
Program Ownership And Leadership

  • Serve as the Program Lead for the Academic Excellence Program (X-Cel and X-Cel Star), ensuring goals are met and reporting impact to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide high-level oversight and strategic guidance for the following key programmes:
  • Art with Heart
  • Touch Heart and Touch Heart 360
  • All Financial Inclusion initiatives.
What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Business Administration, Sustainability, Economics, or a related field
  • Certification in ESG, project management (e.g., PMP), or sustainability reporting frameworks (e.g., GRI, SASB) is an added advantage
  • 8-10+ years of relevant experience in social impact, financial inclusion, sustainability, or related fields. Proven leadership experience in managing cross-functional teams and delivering complex, high-impact programs.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to translate corporate strategies into actionable social impact initiatives and measure success through clear metrics.
  • Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of sustainability reporting frameworks (GRI, SASB, TCFD) and social impact framework and measurement tools. Strong proficiency in data analysis, impact assessment, and program monitoring.
  • Leadership & Communication Skills: Exceptional stakeholder management, public speaking, and presentation skills.
