The Program Supply Chain (Purchaser) plays a critical role in supporting the execution of procurement strategies and managing supplier relationships to ensure cost-effective, timely, and quality delivery of materials. This position interfaces across multiple suppliers and internal stakeholders to drive supply chain performance, secure commercial advantages, and support the achievement of production goals.

Key Responsibilities

Manage a portfolio of suppliers, overseeing commercial terms and cost-per-aircraft metrics.

Support and lead contract negotiations, ensuring all customer flow-down requirements are protected.

Conduct regular supplier negotiations to drive cost reductions and enhance commercial value.

Monitor supplier performance, escalate risks, and contribute data for management reporting.

Drive continuous improvement in supplier performance, particularly around cost, quality, and service.

Resolve supply shortages that could impact the production build schedule.

Contribute to resourcing and supplier transition plans to achieve lowest cost and delivery assurance.

Support supplier assessments, audits, and transfer management activities.

Analyse supplier base to identify opportunities for rationalisation and improvement.

Issue RFQs/RFPs for new requirements and expiring contracts, ensuring compliance and alignment.

Ensure contract coverage is current and aligned with applicable laws and business needs.

Monitor supply chain risks and exchange rate fluctuations, highlighting critical impacts.

Participate in engineering change implementation and cost mitigation strategies.

Clear supplier invoice discrepancies promptly to avoid payment delays.

Support the execution of supplier exit strategies and onboarding of new vendors as needed.

Develop and maintain long-term supplier relationships.

Input supplier capacity and capability data into management reports and customer submissions.

Ensure SAP systems are up to date with accurate pricing, contract, and supplier information.

Contribute to Executive Procurement Reviews (EPRs) with supplier status updates and performance insights.

Prepare and present strategic supplier reviews and business readiness assessments in collaboration with senior stakeholders.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Diploma/Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Strong experience in procurement or supply chain management.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work across business functions and cultures.

Competent in IT systems, with a preference for experience in SAP.

Strong commercial and financial awareness.

Knowledge of industry best practices and ability to drive process improvement.

Proficient in English (spoken and written); additional language skills in Malay and Chinese/Korean are an advantage.

Willingness and ability to travel for supplier visits, audits, and reviews.

Decision-Making Authority

Once trained, the Program Supply Chain (Purchaser) will be responsible for managing assigned suppliers, including pricing, contract management, and commercial terms. The role includes the authority to raise purchase orders and ensure pricing accuracy. Strategic decisions or actions that affect broader business operations will require manager review and approval. The role is accountable for identifying risks and opportunities through regular supplier reviews and reporting.
