About the job: Production Technician (Offshore)

ROLE PURPOSE:

  • Coordinate with CRO on production operations and execute local control, monitoring, functional and performance testing on production processing and support utility equipment and systems. These include equipment and systems on gas and glycol dehydration, wellhead and header, condensate, fuel gas, seawater cooling, gas compression, gas dehydration, chemical injection, gas and condensate metering, produced water treatment, drainage, filtration systems, potable water system, service water, power generators, diesel treatment, etc.
  • Respond and troubleshoot processing and utility equipment and system upsets and alarms at site, coordinating with CRO to control and normalize these conditions before escalation into trips or emergency situations.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Operate, control, monitor, and perform functional and performance tests on production processing equipment, trains, and systems via local panels and/or control systems such as gas glycol dehydration, wellhead and header, condensate, fuel gas, seawater cooling, gas dehydration, chemical injection, gas and condensate metering, produced water treatment, drainage, filtration systems, etc.
  • Operate, control, monitor, and test production support utility equipment and systems, including potable water, service water, power generators, diesel treatment, etc.
  • Operate, control, monitor, and test plant safeguarding, firefighting, and emergency evacuation equipment and systems, such as fire suppression, fire water, foam, lifeboats, etc.
  • Coordinate with CRO to execute isolation and depressurization of production processing, support utilities, and firefighting systems for maintenance activities.
  • Supervise and carry out handling of materials and equipment (chemicals, spare parts, foods, etc.) to and from supply boats, including diesel and potable water bunkering.
  • Conduct process gas and condensate sampling for analysis.

HSSE

  • Attend all mandatory HSSE training, including Take HEARRT modules.
  • Implement MP HSSE Golden rules at project sites and on Pegaga platform.
  • Perform HSSE Critical Roles, including as a member of Pegaga Emergency Response Team.
  • Participate in HSSE reviews and audits related to Pegaga.

Training and Development

  • Align personal development with company staff development plans and manage own competency development through gap analysis.
  • Address identified skill gaps by attending appropriate training.
  • Manage KPIs independently.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

Knowledge:

  • Diploma in Engineering or equivalent; preferable with *BTEC ONC (Process Level 2).

Experience:

  • At least 3 years as an operator in plant start-up and shutdown operations, preferably offshore gas production facilities (Junior level).
  • At least 10 years as an operator in plant start-up and shutdown, ideally offshore gas facilities (Senior level).

Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and CMMS.
  • Effective communicator and organizer; fluent in English (oral and written).
  • Understanding and use of plant operations procedures and manuals.
  • Monitoring and controlling plant process conditions such as flowrates, pressures, and temperatures.
  • Handling plant production process upsets and emergencies.
  • Troubleshooting plant processes and responding to alarms.
