Our established client is a multinational manufacturer, currently seeking a Production Support Engineer (Hardware & Software) to serve manufacturing clients in Northern Malaysia.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Provide after-sales service support for advanced automated test and handling equipment, including installation, acceptance, and upgrades.
2. Propose solutions and improvements to enhance production yield and support test operations for optimized equipment utilization.
3. Identify and lead technical projects or resolve problems for customers.
4. Collaborate with the Service Sales team to identify business opportunities.
5. Ensure all service contract deliverables are met.
6. Contribute technical insights for product improvements and new designs.
7. Offer consultancy services to enhance equipment performance.
8. Assist or lead equipment integration into customer factory automation systems.
9. Provide engineering support, including debugging test programs and hardware.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum a Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
• 4 to 6 years of experience in the semiconductor manufacturing industry, particularly with semiconductor ATE equipment such as testers and handlers.
• Knowledge of C++, scripting, and debugging tools is preferred.
• Strong data-driven problem-solving skills and a quality mindset.
• Understanding of OEE and experience in driving process improvements.
• Knowledge of smart factory concepts and production solutions.
• Supervisory experience and project management skills are advantageous.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication skills, self-motivated, customer-focused, and results-oriented.
• Willingness to travel occasionally on short notice.
