About the role

We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to join our team at FERROTEC POWER SEMICONDUCTOR MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. in Pasir Gudang, Johor. As a Production Supervisor, you will play a key role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our manufacturing facility, ensuring efficient and effective production processes.

What you'll be doing

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of production teams to meet daily, weekly and monthly targets
• Monitor production workflow and identify opportunities for improvements in efficiency and productivity
• Provide coaching and training to production employees to enhance their skills and knowledge
• Ensure strict adherence to quality standards, safety protocols and company policies
• Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering and maintenance, to resolve issues and optimise operations
• Maintain detailed records and generate reports on production data, performance metrics and inventory levels
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance overall equipment effectiveness (OEE)

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Production Supervisor or in a similar role within the manufacturing industry
• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and experience in implementing continuous improvement initiatives
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to quickly address and resolve production issues
• Proficient in interpreting production data and generating reports to track and improve performance
• Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with cross-functional teams
• Fluency in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients, English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken
