Job summary

SAMTEC, Inc. in Malaysia is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead a team of production associates in Johor Bahru. You will ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets while applying ROCK (Remove, Organize, Clean, Keep) methods and maintaining equipment and process discipline.

You will train staff to SOPs, monitor performance, and drive continuous improvements while ensuring compliance with EHS and regulatory requirements. Strong leadership and data-driven decision-making are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong data analysis and data-driven approach.
• Experience with manufacturing processes and related area.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and investigative skills.
• People management and leadership abilities.
• Knowledge of lean principles and Six Sigma preferred.
• Proficient communication, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise production team to meet objectives.
• Own area performance metrics including safety, quality, and cost.
• Ensure compliance with EHS and quality regulatory requirements.
• Train associates to SOPs and ensure certifications.
• Hold regular communication with team and drive continuous improvement.
• Manage staffing, OT, and scheduling in alignment with orders.
• Collaborate with OSS for scheduling and material availability.
• Address bottlenecks and ensure non-conforming production is stopped.
