Job summary

A leading company in manufacturing seeks a Production Supervisor to oversee daily production activities including machine operation, quality assurance, and team management. The ideal candidate will have a diploma in Mechanical or Plastic Engineering, with a minimum of three years of supervisory experience in plastic manufacturing. Job description

Supervise daily production activities, including machine operation, material handling, and manpower allocation.

Ensure production schedules are executed on time, meeting quantity, quality, and delivery requirements.

Monitor performance of plastic molding machines, focusing on cycle time optimizing, 100% extraction rate, material waste prevention and quality stabilization of molded parts to ensure maximum machine uptime and efficiency.

Troubleshoot minor machine issues and escalate to maintenance for major breakdowns.

Ensure raw materials and components are available at the production line as per job order.

Implement quality control procedures and coordinate with QA/QC for inspections and corrective actions.

Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety on the production floor in accordance with 5S and company safety standards.

Train new operators and evaluate operator performance for skill development.

Record and report daily production output, downtime, material usage, and reject rates.

Support process improvements to reduce cycle time, scrap, and machine downtime.

Enforce company policies and procedures, including attendance, safety, and disciplinary matters.

Requirements:

Education: Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Plastic Engineering, or related field.

Experience: Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in plastic manufacturing (preferably injection molding).

Technical Knowledge:

Understanding of plastic materials (e.g., ABS, PP, PC, Nylon)

Familiar with molding machines, mold changeover procedures, and auxiliary equipment

Knowledge of basic troubleshooting techniques

Experience with quality standards such as ISO 9001

Skills:

Leadership and team management

Problem-solving and decision-making

Communication in Bahasa Malaysia and basic English

Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Words)
