We are currently seeking applicants for a Production Supervisor at Vishay Semiconductor Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. This role involves managing production and technician indices to ensure continuous improvement through methodology and lean manufacturing, achieving high quality and quantity with minimized product costs aligned with company goals.

Job Location: Krubong, Melaka. Experience the vibrant local culture in this historical state, with nearby malls, restaurants, parks, and a stadium for recreation.

What You Will Be Doing

1. Leading a team of operators and technicians in process optimization, simplification, and improvement to meet production targets, quality, yield, and output.
2. Reviewing headcount and capacity to optimize equipment and manpower utilization.
3. Ensuring compliance with IATF16969, VDA6.3, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
4. Evaluating raw materials for cost savings, reducing process lead times, and increasing productivity and quality.
5. Conducting detailed analysis studies for process improvement and production sustainability.
6. Performing line audits to detect discrepancies.
7. Implementing production and technician improvement programs to maximize throughput.
8. Ensuring on-time delivery to meet targets.
9. Supporting and leading any assignments or projects assigned by management.

What You Will Bring Along

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering.
2. Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in IC/semiconductor environment.
3. Knowledge of labor law, disciplinary procedures, and work instructions.
4. Problem-solving, planning, and assessment skills.
5. Technical and hands-on repairing skills for production equipment.
6. Counseling and supervisory skills.
7. Knowledge of material, process, and specification writing.
8. Experience with SPC, QCC 7 tools, DOE, and problem-solving techniques is advantageous.
9. Project management experience is a plus.
