Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Production Planner to develop and distribute production schedules and work orders across departments. You will ensure schedules meet customer orders and on-time shipments, coordinating with purchasing to secure materials and adjust plans as needed.

You will monitor master production schedules, set priorities, and work with planning, purchasing, production, and shipping to expedite products while controlling costs and reducing waste.

Responsibilities

• Develop and distribute production schedules and work orders to departments.
• Ensure production schedules meet timelines and shipments to customers are completed on time.
• Determine work schedules based on orders, raw materials, and capacity.
• Coordinate with purchasing to ensure materials availability and adjust schedules.
• Coordinate with planning, purchasing, production and shipping to expedite products.
• Control production costs and identify and reduce waste.
• Involve suppliers in supply chain improvements for shared value.
• Attend and participate in production and operational meetings.
• Schedule and coordinate flow of work within or between departments.
• Review master production schedule and work orders; set priorities and adjust schedules as needed.
• Reschedule identical processes to reduce setup times.
• Distribute work orders with quantity, type, and completion dates.
• Procurement planning for production.
• Consult with supervisors on progress and changes in processing methods.
• Maintain inventory of materials and parts for production.
• Compile reports on progress and downtime to inform planning.
• Communicate effectively with all departments on production matters.
• Support to build a motivated customer service team and drive continuous improvement.
• Assist management in developing safety, cost, quality and productivity improvements.
• Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies and recommend solutions.
• Plan and attend training to upskill yearly.
• Support 5S and safety compliance in the factory.
