Job Description

The MU Production Scheduler is responsible for creating a detailed schedule plan based on planned orders provided weekly by the MU Supply Planner (non-principal) or the Regional Supply Planner (principal).

The scheduler is part of the Operations function, which ensures the integration of key business processes from supplier to customer, providing products, services, and information that add value for stakeholders. The function manages sourcing, procurement, manufacturing, supply chain, and planning processes, ensuring optimal demand and supply alignment globally, considering efficiency, flexibility, security, costs, and quality.

Responsibilities / Key Activities
  1. Create detailed day-to-day production plans from weekly planned orders, minimizing change-over times while maintaining volume constraints.
  2. Update scheduled orders in case of stockouts according to instructions from the Supply Planner.
  3. Execute scheduling activities following weekly planning cycles.
  4. Coordinate with the production department daily and weekly for current and upcoming plans.
  5. Inform the Supply Planner of unexpected events like shortages or breakdowns and follow up on corrective actions.
  6. Monitor open production orders with past due dates and coordinate their closure.
  7. Provide data for production adherence KPIs and initiate improvement initiatives.
  8. Set up master data for new products, including routings and BOMs, and ensure proper MRP settings.
  9. For principal factories, organize regular meetings with production and maintenance to review available hours and provide data to the Regional Supply Planner.
Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience, preferably in manufacturing or FMCG.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and knowledge of Document Management Systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Structured, driven, energetic personality with excellent communication and teamwork skills, capable of working independently.
