Job description

We are looking for a skilled Quality Engineer to lead our Incoming Quality Control (IQC) and In-Process Quality Control (IPQC) team and ensure smooth processes for server production. This role includes managing IQC/IPQC activities, overseeing system-level and PCBA material quality, and ensuring effective material handling. The ideal candidate will also drive quality procedures, resolve material issues, and support ongoing process improvements.

What we are looking for:
  1. IQC/IPQC Team Management: Lead and supervise the IQC/IPQC team to ensure inspection quality meets production and company standards. Coach and mentor team members to strengthen technical skills and align with quality goals.
  2. Material Quality Management: Oversee the quality management of system-level components and PCBA materials, ensuring that the materials meet the necessary quality standards for server production. Act as a liaison between procurement, production, and management to resolve material quality issues impacting server production.
  3. Standard Procedure Creation/Maintenance: Develop and maintain SOPs to standardize and improve IQC/IPQC processes. Monitor and improve processes to meet quality objectives, including managing Year-over-Year enhancements and performance monitoring. Ensure procedures align with industry standards and internal improvements.
  4. Failure Analysis & Problem Resolution: Conduct failure analysis (FA) and implement corrective actions using 8D methodology to resolve material quality issues and prevent recurrence. Collaborate with relevant departments for rapid resolution of quality events or failures.
  5. Quality Tracking & Reporting: Implement and manage quality tracking systems to ensure IQC/IPQC tasks are on track. Prepare and analyze quality reports, highlighting KPIs and improvement areas. Collaborate with procurement, production, and management to minimize quality issues and support smooth production. Propose quality enhancements and foster shared accountability. Drive process improvements and review performance data regularly, coordinating with global teams to enhance material quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality engineering, preferably in manufacturing or server production.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with IQC/IPQC processes, inspection quality, and failure analysis (FA/8D).
  • Proven ability to develop, implement, and manage SOPs for IQC/IPQC.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to manage multiple tasks across departments.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific quality systems, frameworks, and KPIs.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with the business culture and communication styles of Taiwan is advantageous.
